Stadium Experience is a not-for-profit marketing collaboration, set-up by the clubs themselves to promote stadium venues for conference and events. If you work in a football or rugby club in the UK or Ireland and have conference and events facilities to promote, then you are eligible to join Stadium Experience.
Stadium Experience is owned by the member clubs. The association is run by a voluntary leadership team with representatives from a variety of clubs, as well as a dedicated Marketing & PR Manager not connected to any specific club. Collette Salmon from Liverpool Football Club is our Chair, and David Timms from Chelsea Football Club is our Vice Chair.
Stadium Experience currently has around 60 football and rugby club members across the UK & Ireland. Our current membership list can be found here.
Recent new members include; AFC Fylde, Aviva Stadium, Burnley, Croke Park Stadium, Gloucester Rugby, Harlequins Rugby, Ipswich Town, Leeds United, Manchester United, Munster Rugby, Notts County, Scunthorpe United, St. George’s Park, St. Helens, Stoke City, Swansea City, Ospreys Rugby, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Members Meetings – Held every other month rotating between northern, southern and midlands member venues. All members are invited to share best practice and ideas, bring relevant topics to the table, and concludes with a tour of the club and lunch as well as meeting potential suppliers (members are encouraged to host one meeting at no cost to Stadium Experience within every 2-3 years).
Public Catering Meetings (NEW) – At every other meeting, we have created the opportunity for the Public Catering Managers at each club to attend and share best practice and ideas in their own meeting space. Nav Daine from Chelsea FC is our Public Catering Chair Person.
Matchday Swap Shop (NEW) – Visit other clubs to experience and share ideas for the hospitality and public catering teams. The feedback provided aids continual improvement.
Awards Recognition – Opportunity to enter exclusive member award categories at The Stadium Events and Hospitality Awards. All members are eligible for 2 free tickets plus reduced rates to attend event held in May/June at one of our member venues.
Agent Networking (NEW) – Key agents are invited to attend Members Meetings to present and network. In addition, Stadium Experience arranges regular meetings for clubs to visit agents and present details on Stadium Experience members. Recent collaborators have included; arrangeMY, Calders, Capita, Chilli Sauce, CWT, Edge Venues, Grassroots, Hashtag Events, Jigsaw Events, KTS Events, Liz Hobbs Group, Meetings Industry Association, Off Limits, Space2, The Conference Group, Venue Directory, Venue Finder, Zibrant/BCD and more.
Exhibitions – The opportunity to stand-share and have a presence at exhibitions at a reduced price and subsidised by Stadium Experience (where possible). Recent examples include BNC London, Conference Hospitality Show, Independent Venue Roadshow, Square Meal Venues & Events, Independent Venue Show, 20/20 Speed Networking Events, Event Organisers Summit, Event Agency Forum and more.
Stadium Experience Website – Each member has dedicated club pages to promote their conference and events facilities, and upload brochures. A unique log-in is provided for members to regularly access and amend their page details.
News & Jobs – Members are also able to promote news stories and any job vacancies via the Stadium Experience website.
Promotional Material – Regular promotional literature is produced and sent to key event bookers across the UK & Ireland, such as our Stadium Venue Map. Also available is PDFs downloads on the Stadium Experience website and official email footers.
National Advertising & Media Coverage – Stadium Experience has regular national advertisements and media coverage in conference and events media.
Newsletters to Event Buyers – Regular E-Shots to event buyers, sharing member news and offers. This is shared more broadly via FC Business and Choose Your Event too.
SEO & Blogs – Investment in SEO and blog features, encouraging website visits and increased enquiries.
Social Media Support – Stadium Experience is active on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+. Have your news and offers shared even further.
Lead Stadium Experience – Have your say on the running of Stadium Experience by joining the voluntary Leadership Team.
Enquiries – Receive re-active enquiries via Stadium Experience in addition to enquiries directly to your club.
Support Network – Ask questions to like-minded members. i.e. sharing brochures, sharing costs of supplies and charging rates.
Bad Debtor Warnings – Receive warnings of bad debtors, fraudulent activities experienced by fellow member clubs, unco-operative clients, etc.
