Worcester Warriors Rugby Club is recruiting for an Assistant C&B Manager – Hospitality to join their team at Sixways Stadium.

Main purpose of job: management position that leads conference & Banqueting team while personally assisting in executing events based on requirements and standards. Communicates performance expectations and trains staff in processes. Responsible for planning, organising and scheduling workers to ensure that the Food & Beverage department staffing requirements and needs are fulfilled

Main Duties

  • Hands on Operational Role with key emphasis on Conference and Meetings.
  • To be confident and demonstrate high levels of Leadership, maturity, and professionalism always.
  • To be calm, efficient, and reliable under pressure.
  • To exhibit a great front of house presence and lead from the front.
  • To take ownership showing passion; ensure that all Food & Beverage will be served by High Standards and in the required time according to the Event sheets, Matchday & Brasserie.
  • Implement and monitor the standards of the Conference & Banqueting department with a strong focus on conference & brand standards, performance, and customer journey.
  • To provide exceptional customer service to meet business requirements.
  • Continually liaise and collaborate with the Conference and Events department regarding future and daily business.
  • To have a working knowledge of event management systems.
  • Manage and maintain stocks of crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen and other kitchen and tableware necessary for providing a quality service.
  • To demonstrate a keen eye for detail and the ability to recognise opportunities for departmental growth.
  • To have a thorough understanding of technology and AV equipment.
  • On Match Days to take specific responsibility for corporate hospitality functions in all Stands ensuring the highest possible standards of service.
  • To effectively manage your time and productivity whilst at work.
  • To effectively manage the time and productivity of your team whilst at work.
  • To demonstrate outstanding coaching and mentoring skills and to be able to identify key training needs.
  • To take pride and ensure that appropriate mise-en-place is prepared according to the event sheets.
  • To be confident in setting up conference room, as instructed by events sheets, thus meeting guests’ expectations.
  • To ensure that all conference suites & meeting rooms are presentable, and in optimal condition.
  • Manages departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment.
  • Adheres to and reinforces all standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Must be an excellent communicator, able to foster relationships with both employees and external vendors. The goal is to ensure that the Food & Beverage staffing requirements are always met, and employees work in a friendly, supportive environment.
  • Assist in preparation and execution of orientation and training plans and evaluate new Staff.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
  • To undertake any other duties deemed commensurate with the post and as directed by management and / or the Company.
  • Undergo training courses and gain qualifications in several fields relating to the department including till training, cellar management courses and gaining an alcohol license.
  • Perform a duty manager role while on shift when required, taking sole duty management responsibilities for the Stadium, and dealing with any issues that may arise during shift.
  • Working shift work and weekends, and bank/public holidays, ensuring prompt timekeeping and attendance.
  • Ensure breaks are organised in accordance with fluctuations in the volume of business.
  • Assist with service in other areas of the Stadium as requested.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request asked by Directors.
  • To undertake any other duties deemed commensurate with the post and as directed by management and / or the Company.
