5 New Clubs Join Stadium Experience

Stadium Experience has welcomed 5 new clubs as members in recent months.  The not-for-profit association has welcomed Hampshire Cricket, Ipswich Town Football Club, Northampton Saints Rugby Club, Principality Stadium in Cardiff and Yorkshire County Cricket Club.  This follows seven other new members earlier in the year, which included: Blackburn Rovers FC, Doncaster Rovers FC, Hibernian FC, Huddersfield Giants RFC, Huddersfield Town FC, Wasps RFC and Wigan Athletic FC.  The latest new additions takes the total number of members to well over 40 different clubs across the UK.

Stadium Experience is a not-for-profit marketing consortium and aims to share best practice and promote stadia as unique and prestigious venues for meetings, conferences and events.  Now, more than ever, the association is finding stadium venues joining to share ideas, as well as offer guidance and support following the pandemic.

Here’s a little more about the newest venues to join Stadium Experience:

Hampshire Cricket

The Ageas Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket, Southern Vipers and Southern Brave in Southampton. The venue also boasts a 171-bedroomed 4-star Hilton hotel, 18-hole Boundary Lakes Golf Course, eforea spa and BEEFY’S Restaurant by Lord Botham along with 12-multi-purpose, versatile meeting and event spaces. From twin standard guest rooms to a presidential suite, the hotel boats impressive views over both the cricket outfield and the rolling hills of the golf course. The unique space can host a wide range of events, ranging from small intimate meetings to large-scale exhibitions. Ipswich Town Football Club

Portman Road is home to Ipswich Town FC.  Their extensive array of 24 rooms, suites and lounges enable them to accommodate up to 300 people for informal events, with a further 13 executive boxes available to hire.  There is large-scale investment taking place and improvements across the ground from AV upgrades, room refurbishments and the modernisation of suites for both match and non-matchday experiences.  Enquiries can be made by calling 01473 400 580 or emailing events@itfc.co.uk.

Northampton Saints Rugby

The cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens is home to Northampton Saints Rugby Club.  The venue boasts 11 events spaces for meetings, conferences and event.  The stadium can host up to 600 theatre style and has over 550sqm of space ideal for exhibitions and trade events.  Enquiries can be made by calling 01604 751543 or emailing franklinsgardens@northamptonsaints.co.uk.

Principality Stadium, Cardiff

The Principality Stadium in Cardiff is home to Welsh Rugby and is one of Cardiff’s best equipped meetings venues. Recognised for its prestigious world class hospitality, there are various options available to purchase via Business Development Manager (fmansfield@pse.wales). Alongside its match day hospitality, the venue has 7 large event spaces to be utilised on non-match days. With over 100 prestigious executive boxes with pitch views, as well as over 10,000sqm for exhibitions, trade shows and fairs there is a space available for all kind of events. Yorkshire County Cricket Club

Yorkshire County Cricket Club shares the iconic Headingley Stadium with existing Stadium Experience Members, Leeds Rhinos Rugby Club.  The venue team are experts in hosting meetings, training, team building and events from 10 to 450 delegates. Most of their modern/versatile event spaces contain private bars making them ideal for corporate entertaining and private dinners.  The venues offers 9 event spaces and 13 executive boxes as well as over 600sqm of exhibition space.  Enquiries can be made by calling 0113 203 3899 option 3 or by emailing events@headingleystadium.com.

About Stadium Experience

Stadium Experience was established in 2002 for football venues and evolved in 2013 to welcome rugby stadium venues too.  With the increasing membership, Stadium Experience has significantly stepped up its activities in recent years.  Some examples include sharing best practice and ideas with regular networking events each year, joint exhibition opportunities, meeting event buyers and key agencies as a consortium, regular newsletters and blogs, an annual recognitions awards celebrations; The Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards and much more.  In 2022, Stadium Experience has opened its membership to include cricket and athletics venues for the very first time.
