Seven New Clubs Join Stadium Experience
The re-opening of stadium venues has seen a surge in new members joining Stadium Experience in recent months. The not-for-profit association has welcomed seven new clubs, including; Blackburn Rovers FC, Doncaster Rovers FC, Hibernian FC, Huddersfield Giants RFC, Huddersfield Town FC, Wasps RFC and Wigan Athletic FC. The new additions takes the total number of Stadium Experience members to around 40 different clubs across the UK.
Stadium Experience is a not-for-profit marketing consortium and aims to share best practice and promote stadia as unique and prestigious venues for meetings, conferences and events. Now, more than ever, the association is finding stadium venues joining to share ideas, as well as offer guidance and support as they navigate their way back to normality following the pandemic.
Here’s a little more about the seven new clubs to join Stadium Experience:
Blackburn Rovers FC – Ewood Park
Ewood Park is home to Blackburn Rovers FC in the North West of the UK. Ewood Park is part of the Sodexo Prestige portfolio and offers high quality meeting and function rooms combined with top class service and first class hospitality. The Lancashire venue has 15 prestigious executive boxes and 10 event spaces available, and can welcome up to 500 delegates theatre style. Doncaster Rovers FC – Eco-Power Stadium
The Eco-Power Stadium (previously known as the Keepmoat Stadium) is located in South Yorkshire and offers contemporary and flexible spaces, equipped with unparalleled facilities, perfect for all types of corporate and private events. The venue has up to 13 smaller meeting spaces and 6 larger conferences rooms, which can host up to 350 in a theatre style or 300 banquet style. Hibernian FC – Easter Road Stadium
The Easter Road Stadium is centrally located in Scotland’s capital city – Edinburgh. The venue offers a variety of suites and rooms, from a small intimate dinner for 10, to a conference or exhibition for 300 in their pitch view suite. The site also provides free parking for up to 200 vehicles. The stadium is investing in a full refurbishment of the West Stand, completing this summer and will provide even larger capacities for conferences and events. Huddersfield Giants RFC & Huddersfield Town FC – John Smiths Stadium
The John Smith’s Stadium is home to both Huddersfield Giants RFC and Huddersfield Town FC in West Yorkshire. Whether you are looking for an intimate meeting room, spacious multi-functional conference space or a bespoke venue for your special occasion, The John Smith’s Stadium has the perfect offering to satisfy your requirements. Wigan Athletic FC – DW Stadium
The DW Stadium is home to Wigan Athletic FC located in the heart of the North West. The stadium recently joined the Sodexo Prestige portfolio, and is a versatile venue with indoor and outdoor conference, meeting and event space for up to 500 people. Wasps RFC – Coventry Building Society Arena
The Coventry Building Society Arena (previously Ricoh Arena) is located in the heart of the Midlands. This iconic venue offers around 80 smaller meeting rooms and executive boxes, 18 adaptable spaces for conferences and event, and even a large indoor arena for concerts, exhibitions and more. This room alone, can welcome up to 7000 delegates in a theatre layout. The venue also boasts a 4-star, 121-bedroom hotel onsite – DoubleTree By Hilton. Most recently there has been £7.5 million investment on new conference spaces, refurbishments, and building a dedicated convention centre.
