Stadium venues are the ideal Covid-secure settings for your meeting and event needs. See how our stadium venues are making their spaces safer.

Twickenham Stadium

Stadium venues are the ideal Covid-19 secure settings for your meeting and event needs.  The existing infrastructure and facilities in place at stadium venues, mean that adapting their unique spaces for your meetings. conferences, events and workspaces comes as second nature.

How to Maintain Social Distancing

Stadium venues offer substantial space, making events with social distancing easily achievable in line with the latest Government guidelines. You could use a selection of smaller rooms or spread out in larger suites.  Many rooms have partitions and external doors and windows, which can be opened to create additional space.  Stadium venues also have many spaces with stunning pitch views, with doors and windows that can be opened to provide fresh air and outside access too.

How Are Venues Making Their Spaces Covid-19 Secure?

Venues have been exploring and implementing a number safety measures such as increased cleaning programmes throughout the day, GDPR compliant track and trace facilities, reduced room capacities, socially distanced tables and seating, one-way systems to access the facilities, reduced lift capacities, increased signage and floor-markings, wearing face coverings and masks in appropriate areas, increasing anti-bacterial hand gel stations throughout the facilities and much more.  Ask your venue for details of their risk assessments and measures in place to make their stadium venues Covid-19 secure.

Covid-19 Venue Accreditations

Many venues are working towards accreditations to demonstrate they are a Coronavirus Covid-19 secure venue, such as the Visit Britain ‘We’re Good To Go’ scheme or the MIA AIM Secure standard.  Ask your venue if they have specialist accreditations and ask to see their plans, risk assessments and processes that have been put in place to keep you and your delegates safer.  Look out for the Visit Britain and MIA Covid-secure venue logos on our stadium venue pages.  Read more about how Stadium Experience and the MIA are working in partnership.

How Can Technology Help Your Event?

Technology has also been playing a part, meaning you could now have events linking different rooms in the same stadium or across different venues.  This is a particularly good solution for those shielding or unable to attend in person, meaning these delegates can now join these new style ‘hybrid’ events and not miss out.

Technology is also assisting event planners with site-visits and show-rounds in advance of their event.  Why not take a full tour of the facilities and view how they now look in a socially distanced layout by viewing the latest venue images, videos and 3D tours?  You can also share these resources with your delegates so they know what to expect on arrival.  Read more about 3D Tours of stadium venues.

What Catering Will Be On Offer?

The award-winning stadium chef teams have been busy creating and developing new catering offerings ready for your event.  Options include both hot and cold pre-wrapped delicacies which can be delivered in sealed boxes in a socially distanced manner, or through table service. Cutlery and condiments can also be pre-wrapped too.  Whilst these offerings are different to what you may have experienced at events before Covid-19, this doesn’t mean the award-winning quality is compromised in any way. Smaller Spaces For Hire

Stadium venues offer a wide variety of flexible spaces.  These unique venues also offer many smaller spaces for hire for smaller meetings, or even to let as office workspace.  Executive Boxes used for entertaining prestigious guests on a match-day, can also be hired for your business needs as a Covid secure workplace.  Hire can be by the hour, day, week or even on a longer term letting arrangement.  These rooms usually offer large pitch-facing windows and doors, which can opened to allow additional space and fresh air.  Read more about hiring stadium executive boxes.

Outside spaces for hire

Some stadium venues offer pitch hire outside of their main sporting season for your own matches, concerts, other sporting competitions and more.  Some stadium venues also have fan zones and car park areas available for hire for events such as pop-up restaurants and bars, NHS testing and donor services, drive-in cinemas and concerts and much more.  If you’d like to find out more about hiring an outside space at a stadium, please click on your chosen stadium from the list at the end of this blog.

Many events will have a new look and feel going forward, and have many measures in place to give you the confidence that your venue is socially distanced and as Covid-19 secure as possible.   Whether it’s a meeting, induction and training sessions, office space rentals or celebration parties, stadium venues really can cater for your every need and space requirements.
