Ashton Gate Stadium, home of Bristol City FC and Bristol Bears Rugby Club, is delighted to welcome Jenny Hutchinson to the stadium as Head of Venue & Events.
Hutchinson leaves her post as Theatre Director at The Bristol Hippodrome ahead of starting her new role at Ashton Gate Stadium on Monday, September 16th, 2019. “I’m really excited to be taking up this new role and looking forward to using my experience to drive the stadium events business forward.
“I love live performance in all its forms. After seven years with The Ambassador Theatre Group managing their venues from Manchester to Bristol I’ve worked with an incredible bunch of people. The set-up at Ashton Gate, the energy and enthusiasm there for developing the venue and events side of its business is tremendously exciting, and I look forward to using my skills and experience to deliver some amazing acts to our community.
“The Summer Series of concerts at Ashton Gate were a fantastic signal to the international events industry to say that the redeveloped stadium is open and ready for business. Combined with the planned Sports and Convention Centre (SCC) next door I cannot wait to get started.”
Mark Kelly, Managing Director of Ashton Gate Stadium said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Jenny Hutchinson to the group. Her experience working on large scale live productions and events is second-to-none.
“Our ambition is to be the premier conference and events venue in the South West and with our expanding footprint of the stadium and the SCC we are looking forward to attracting more international events to the city. It was great to see the positive economic impact our concerts had on the city and I look forward to us developing that as we expand.”
