Best Non-Match Day Use of Venue at the Football Business Awards 2014
The 6th November was an exciting evening for the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre winning the best Non-Match Day use of Venue at the Football Business Awards 2014.
The awards saw over 600 guests gather at Stamford Bridge, including Sir Bobby Charlton who accepted an award as a ‘Global Football Ambassador’.
The Levy Restaurants Team at Chelsea Football Club provided an outstanding three course dinner during the awards including bangers and mash and of course plenty of champagne before heading off to Under the Bridge for the after party!
The Football Business Awards are now in their third year and are bigger than ever, celebrating the business behind the sport. Each of the entries were analysed from a strong judging panel made up from influential figures from the worlds of football and business and shortlists were drawn up.
The Royal Berkshire Conference Centre were delighted to win the category for Best Non-match day use of a venue, seeing off competition from the Emirates Stadium, Anfield and the Stadium of Light. The team
were recognised for their strong sales performance, operational innovation and consistently good client feedback.
The judges said: The team met and exceeded tough targets in a very challenging operational environment with innovative solutions and hard work attracting outstanding feedback. An impressive example of how a focused team effort and a never say no attitude can deliver impressive returns to non match day business.
Sales Manager, Nicola Hall said ‘The whole team have pulled together and worked really hard this year to create some fantastic results and it’s great to be recognised for this in the industry. The competition in this category was extremely high and it was such an honour to even be shortlisted alongside some big club names, let alone win the category. We’re so excited and completely overwhelmed at winning this incredibly prestigious award.’
