We are investing significantly in our content and looking for a highly motivated Digital and Marketing Executive to join our team to work on content and marketing delivery, specifically primarily on women’s rugby. A passion and desire for sports is essential as we look for the perfect individual to help tell our story.
This role had been designed to work within the Saracens Rugby Club Media & Marketing team for Women’s Rugby. You will be a fresh thinking, creative and motivated individual who will be responsible for all communications and PR around Saracens Women’s Rugby team.
Your inter-personal skills will be excellent and this will be a vital element of the role to ensure not only development of relationships with media reps but also to be able to communicate with internal stakeholders.
The post requires for the individual to support and work with all departments across the Club, as and when required.
A successful candidate will help raise the profile of the club by delivering our desired brand messaging to fans and Media, whilst reinforcing Saracens’ reputation as an inclusive and forward-thinking organisation.

- LOCATION: StoneX Stadium, Greenlands Lane, Hendon, London, NW4 1RL and The Training Ground, Harpenden Lane, St Albans, AL3 6BB.
- CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, Full time
- REPORTING TO: Talent, Media & Communications Manager
- SALARY: £27,000 per annum
- KEY STAKEHOLDERS: All internal departments, external stakeholders including participants and sponsors and media outlets
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Role Specific deliverables:
- Planning and creating regular website content, both in written form and working with Saracens marketing team to create video assets.
- Match day previews, reports and post-match reaction for all games.
- Work with Saracens Marketing Team to devise impactful communications plans for events and key dates in the season.
- Reacting to press enquiries.
- Managing the Women’s social media channels.
- Further implementing the platforms currently in place to strengthen the media output of the club and players.
- Working as part of an integrated social media strategy to build the channels’ following and engagement rates.
- Proactively seeking opportunities to raise the profiles of the three areas.
- Demonstrate best working practices in all duties and comply with company manuals.
- Advising players on media responsibilities.
- Working closely with the club’s marketing department and partnership teams to maximise ticket sales and drive commercial outcomes.

Experience
- Working within a media environment
- Strong existing network of rugby contacts
- Outstanding understanding of rugby and ability to talk at length and in detail about all aspects of the game
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills (attention to detail is essential)
