SUMMARY

We’re looking for an experienced Events Sales Executive to build strong relationships with external parties and drive the proactive sales activity for our non-match day business offering. The perfect candidate will be a highly organised, confident and commercially minded team player. An individual with a proven track record in venue and or events sales that is looking to take their career to the next level.

Reporting directly to Head of Head of Venue Programming & Events, the ideal candidate is both happy working in a team or on their own initiative and is committed to the growth and development of the StoneX Stadium business.

DETAILS 

  • JOB TITLE: SENIOR SALES EXECUTIVE – STADIUM EVENTS
  • LOCATION: StoneX Stadium, Greenlands Lane, Hendon, London, NW4 1RL
  • CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, includes some evening and weekend work
  • SALARY: £35k per annum. Discretionary bonus scheme
  • RESPONSIBLE FOR: Delivering commercial growth for the non-matchday events department
  • KEY STAKEHOLDERS: All internal departments, our commercial partners, sales agencies, Saracens suppliers and contractors, existing clients. 

Non-Matchday Events 

  • Work with the Head of Hospitality & Venue Sales, the Head of Venue Programming and Events, and the wider Events team to successfully contribute towards meeting revenue growth targets.
  • Identify and engage with new accounts and contacts across a variety of market segments.
  • Cultivate strong agency relationships within the C&E industry to promote the venue. Account management of the Top 50 and ongoing research on potential new opportunities.
  • Act as the primary conduit to drive mutually beneficial revenue opportunities between the venue team and other internal departments (Hospitality, Partnerships).
  • Assist the reactive function with account management duties and enquiry handling during peak periods.
  • Maintain a network of contacts that are suitable for the development of new and growth business.
  • Represent the venue at industry events and exhibitions.
  • Coordinate and lead familiarization tours, and large scale showcase events, ensuring those attending are key influencers and decision makers.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and best practice.
  • Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the organisation. 

YOU SHOULD APPLY IF YOU HAVE

Experience

  • At least 2 years’ pro-active sales experience in the Conference and Events Industry, experience of working for a Sports Stadium is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience of delivering a targeted revenue.
  • Ability to be creative with event briefs to make them work.
  • Experience with a CRM system and ability to learn a new tool (we use Ivvy)
  • Existing relationships with key event buyers and agencies.
  • Ability to be flexible with occasional trips to industry events.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (the basic hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week, working five out of seven days, around the needs of the business)
  • Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders and the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders, at all levels.

Compensation

  • Your manager reviews your salary every 24 months as a matter of course
  • However, proactive pay increases will be implements to reflect growing responsibilities

Working from home

  • If you are normally office-based, you can still work from home occasionally – as long as you have good internet connection and a private, quiet space which allows you to do your best work
  • Currently, company wide office anchor days are Monday and Thursday. This keeps team collaboration and engagement high. This is subject to ongoing review as we learn to adapt to this changing world
