Scottish Gas Murrayfield is the perfect choice for conferences & meetings. We are one of the few venues in Edinburgh that can offer large flexible conference spaces close to numerous break out rooms with audio visual, free wifi, free parking and full onsite conference catering – and now with our own tram station, connecting the stadium to Edinburgh Airport and the nearby City Centre.
We can accommodate theatre style for up to 600 and cabaret for 400, with 16 smaller breakout suites for small groups of 10 up to 100. For an extra special touch, the 10 Murrayfield Boxes overlook the pitch and can each deliver 14 boardroom style. Scottish Gas Murrayfield offers 1,500sqm of internal carpeted space for exhibitions, as well as a range of suites and modern concourse areas to cater for a variety of events. The venue has hosted many international product launches and demonstrated the unique ability to combine the inside with the outside, expanding the total area to host immense sized events. Easy vehicle access to the pitch means cars and large vehicles can be driven directly into the viewing area – Ideal for motor industry and product launches!
Exchange vows with your partner on our magnificent pitch experiencing the thrill of standing in the footsteps where sporting heroes have stood before. Your wedding album will be exceptional with images of you and your partner on the iconic rugby pitch. The groom could even dress for your wedding in the players changing room using all of the facilities on offer used by the Scotland squad. Whether planning your ceremony and/or your reception, attention to detail is guaranteed with a dedicated wedding co-ordinator to assist turning your dreams into reality on your special day.
Scottish Gas Murrayfield is home to one of the largest banqueting and gala dinner experiences Edinburgh can offer. With free parking for 1,000 cars, the impressive Thistle and President’s Suites can be combined to seat 1,100 for dinner or 1,500 for a reception. In addition to these larger suites, there are also a host of other spaces at Scottish Gas Murrayfield which can cater for a range of banqueting events. From our Murrayfield Boxes with views of the pitch (up to 14 guests) to the new Centenary Club with its private entrance, bar & toilets (up to 150 guests). Why not arrange a pitch-side BBQ or special drinks reception in the National Team Changing Rooms!
A unique dining experience is available in the home changing rooms of Scottish Gas Murrayfield. You could even host a truly unique drinks reception in the players tunnel, and have access to the stadium bowl too. Suitable for up to 30 guests.
Located within the famous West Stand at Scottish Gas Murrayfield with its own private entrance, and clear signage on the stadium concourse. Guests access the suite via an exclusive foyer with cloakroom facilities.
The suite can be set to cater private dinners or celebrations, drinks receptions, small conferences, networking events or weddings. The suite has comprehensive AV equipment, a private bar & toilet facilities as well as tunnel access to the main stadium bowl, where guests can enjoy views of the famous Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium.
Named after famous Scottish Rugby grounds, each of the Box has a floor to ceiling window with views of the famous Murrayfield pitch. Boxes can be set up for a dinner, board meeting, informal buffet, interviews or drinks receptions. They are ideal as breakout rooms as part of a larger conference or event, or to hire individually for a one-ff event or special occasion.
Served by a central reception area to welcome and direct guests to their private box, as well as private toilets. Each box has a small cloakroom to store bags & coats as well as a fridge and sink area for drinks/snacks.
Both suites benefit from natural daylight and internal partitions allowing flexibility to host smaller conferences and meetings. With access to the Scotland Suites, breakout areas are available to facilitate all requirements.
The Suites can be combined to cater for large Exhibitions, Drinks Receptions for up to 1,500 and Banqueting for up to 1,100 across the West Stand. Add an extra wow factor and include a pitch-side drinks reception – with guests accessing the stadium via the players tunnel – perhaps with a bagpiper piping them in, creating a really special sense of arrival.

Scottish Rugby Hospitality also offer private Christmas parties, for those who are looking for exclusive access to the stadium suites. Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium can accommodate up to 1,100 guests for a sit-down dinner, as well as offering a collection of smaller suites to cater for more intimate groups.
