What is Matchday Hospitality?
A Matchday Hospitality package is a great way to enhance your favourite sporting fixtures. You can enjoy food, drinks and good company in a prestigious lounge, suite or executive box, as well as enjoying your chosen match with an unrivalled view in the stadium seating. You can really make a day of the event by spending quality time with clients, family or friends in shared or private rooms at the stadium.
What is included in Matchday Hospitality?
Match hospitality packages and VIP packages can include pre match drinks, VIP bar, premium cuisine, entertainment and your match ticket too, which may even be upgraded to padded seating. The experience usually starts two to three hours before the match, with refreshments available again at half time, and then continues for several hours after the final whistle too! Many experiences include entertainment, legend or player visits and talks, and some venues offer behind the scenes stadium tours too. Matchday Hospitality tickets can usually be booked for the whole season, a selection of matches or even as one-off individual visits.
Matchday Hospitality Rooms
Matchday Hospitality varies at each stadium, with venues offering a selection of packages, such as low-cost relaxed options, or more premium formal experiences (and everything in between!). You could dine in a prestigious lounge, opt for something a little smaller in a more intimate suite, or even experience an exclusive executive box to watch the match fixture. Hospitality can either be in shared spaces with other customers, or privately hired for the ultimate VIP experience. You can also hire an executive box for your own meetings and events too. Hospitality is open for corporate bookings as wells as family experiences, with children welcome at most venues.
Booking Hospitality Tickets
Contact your chosen stadium as soon as you know the dates you wish to visit. These packages are very popular and are often booked many months in advance (particularly for the big matches of the season!). The stadium will be able to advise on their specific packages, costs and availability, and book your hospitality tickets. Be sure to let them know if you have any special requirements (including dietary requirements). If you are booking hospitality for a special occasion, or if you are seeking corporate tickets do let the venue know so they can ensure you book the right package for your needs.
Receiving Hospitality Tickets
Hospitality tickets are usually issued a few days prior to the match (either by post, or more often electronically to your phone) and will include all the event details you will require for your special day. You should contact your stadium venue immediately if you need to change any guest names, transfer tickets to alternative guests, or advise of any special requirements (including dietary requirements).
Hospitality Dress Code
Stadium hospitality is normally quite formal in a prestigious setting, and so you should wear smart-casual attire. Denim, trainers, flip flops and sportswear are not usually permitted in hospitality suites. Away team colours and shorts are not permitted, along with attire displaying offensive language or imagery. All footwear should be clean and smart in appearance. Handbags should be kept small and may be security searched.
Fixture Changes
The date and time of a fixture may change during the season for many reasons, such as live TV coverage, policing and security purposes, weather conditions or involvement in cup competitions. You should check your club’s website regularly to see if there have been any fixture changes throughout the season. If a fixture time or date changes for a booking you have made, the club will advise you accordingly. If you are unable to attend the new fixture you may be offered the opportunity to transfer your booking to an alternative fixture (subject to availability) or offered a refund/voucher. Please do view your specific club’s hospitality terms and conditions for further details.
Stadium Access on Matchday
You are advised to check in advance for any road closures on your selected matchday – Some venues close their nearest roads 4 ours prior to the kick-off time. Hospitality usually commences several hours before kick-off and ends several hours after the final whistle, and so roads may be unaffected by any match closures. If your hospitality tickets don’t include a car parking space, you should also check car parking availability nearby, and public transport options and times if required.
