Dennis has been specially selected by the Head Judge (Rod Bowker) to be an expert judge for the Matchday Hospitality Awards. This judge has been chosen based upon their extensive knowledge and involvement in both the chef and hospitality industries, with over 20 years extensive experience and a passion for driving up standards. Biography

Dennis is known for his hospitality awareness, culinary talents, passion and creativity in food production, including with a bright personality and cheerfulness. All these attributes make him a leading figure in today’s modern culinary world.

With this approach Chef Mwakulua has worked in restaurants & hotels with some of the world’s leading Chefs. Some of his memorable experience include time at Bur al Arab, Dubai, Aquavit and WD-50 Restaurants in New York respectively.

Dennis has achieved many awards within the industry particularly being selected for the England Culinary Olympics team in Erfurt, Germany and the Culinary World Cup in Luxemburg over a period of several years. These prestigious appearances of cooking for your national team came with the added bonus of collecting many gold, silver and bronze medals a truly great achievement. Other proud moments in his career has been nominated as Compass UK &  Ireland Chef of the Year; Elior Chef of the Year; British Meat Overall Chef of the year Champion; London Chef of the year: The Craft Guild of Chefs Contract Catering Chef of the Year and  British Meat Overall Chef of the year Champion. Dennis also admits to being involved in Marco Pierre Whites TV show Hell’s Kitchen. Chef Mwakulua is an ardent chef trainer and encourages his own team to be in all aspects of the hospitality world that he passionately enjoys.
