Bolton Whites Hotel, which is fully integrated into the Bolton Wanderers football stadium, played host to over 600 guests in a spectacular event to mark the launch of the Macron Stadium. Macron, an Italian sportswear manufacturer, are now manufacturers and sponsors of the Bolton Wanderers football kit as well as having the naming rights to the stadium.
This is the second major re-brand the hotel has experienced in less than a year and it is thriving. General Manager, Suzanne Speak said: “This has been an exciting year for everyone at Bolton Whites Hotel. As well as going through the transition from De Vere to independent, launching the Macron stadium and the bedding in of a new sales team, we have actually enhanced our trading position and even started to grow our customer bases further afield.”
The event was an Italian inspired affair and the ‘white’ carpet arrival was the start of an entertainment packed evening. Suzanne added: “As we are now part of the Macron stadium, we really wanted a theme that paid homage to the new club and kit sponsors and that also showed off the hotel’s Premier suite at its very best. The guests certainly seemed to enjoy the event and the entertainment that was literally non-stop from the moment they walked through the door.”
With guests told to expect the unexpected, the spectacle of the evening began with statues and stilt walkers on arrival before guests received Champagne served from a lady suspended in a Chandelier. Storm violinists, an aerial duo act and a fire show completed the night’s entertainment which also saw the new football kit unveiled in a dance show catwalk display.
Suzanne concluded: “One of our key USP’s is without doubt our Premier Suite which is one of the largest function suites in the area capable of holding up to 3000 people. With our plan to enhance the reception area to this suite we will tick that final box which to me, puts our Premier Suite in a league of its own and which shows you don’t have to be a Manchester City centre hotel to host and attract the calibre of events that we do.”
